At Squirrel Hill Christian Church, we are committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly engage our neighbors and friends, be honest about sin, and proclaim the Gospel of salvation in Jesus's Name. Following Jesus means loving and serving those around us.
SHCC was founded in the 1890s, originally the "Squirrel Hill Mission" of the thriving Hazelwood Christian Church. Though in Greenfield, the church was once located on Squirrel Hill Road. While the church has seen many changes both in the church and in its surrounding neighborhood and city, SHCC is still committed to proclaiming the life-giving truth of Jesus Christ.
Tracing its roots to the 19th century "Restoration Movement," SHCC wants to be a church body marked by commitment to Christ, the Bible, and engaging with churches of any denomination committed to Jesus and His true Gospel that saves. "He brought us forth by the word of truth" (James 1:18).
